Welcome, we’re glad you’re here! Connecting with others to share stories, knowledge, feelings, and thoughts is one of the best ways to support your child, your family, and yourself. Transforming Families offers confidential peer-support meetings for trans youth and their families. T(w)een meetings are trans, non-binary and/or questioning only spaces for ages approximately 11-18, facilitated by trans and/or non-binary young adults. Adult meetings are a space for parents, guardians, and other family and supporters. In person meetings also provide supervised play time with other gender magic and supportive kids for children younger than 11 or 12. We aim to provide an affirming place to talk through situations, emotions, and questions, whether difficult, joyful, or anything in between. Our group also has a wealth of information on local resources, shared both at meetings and on our private Facebook group. Transforming Families online meetings are intended for families in Minnesota or those who have been part of the Transforming Families community in the past. If you live elsewhere, we encourage you to check out the Facebook group Parents of Transgender Children.

donations
We are committed to paying our trans youth facilitators and have a small admin budget. If you are able, please consider making a donation. Suggested donations for meeting attendees are $5 individual/$10 family.
